Malmö Redhawks

Photographing sports is another side of my photography interest. I have photographed a lot of junior football from the sidelines.

Hockey was definitely on my "to do list".

Thanks to Måns, I got the opportunity. I had to choose between standing in the photo booth with the big boys or in one corner behind the plexiglass. I chose the last one. Right or wrong...probably wrong :)

Of course I would have chosen the photo booth, but to be honest, it felt a little nerve-wracking to crowd there with 3 other photographers who had lenses bigger than my thighs and wearing helmets if the puck (accident) was there.

Although the biggest reason was probably that IF the accident happened and hit my camera, the evening would end in a very, very expensive way, and I didn't dare risk that. But of course it felt a little boring to have to mess with the plexiglass....blur, colors, reflections....but it was a fun experience anyway, even if the pictures weren't world class.

And talk about something I wasn't used to, the speed....it goes fast when you're so close.

Anyway, a really fun night and I'll probably get down one day to photograph the ladiehawks as well.

The question is whether one dares to hope for photo accreditation for MFF in the summer too, that would have been really cool.

Anyway, thanks to Måns and Malmö Redhawks who gave me the opportunity to take some pictures this evening, which also ended with a great victory.
